Millionaire households account for less than 1% of the world’s total household, yet controlling 38% of the world’s total wealth. Global wealth increased 11.5% to USD111.5 trillion, just short of 2007 levels.

As a Hong Kong person, I’m proud that we made another world’s top 10. Yet, it doesn’t sound right that 8.8% of our households control 73% of the territory’s wealth. Alas, in our motherland China, the mis-proportion is even more dismal.
